Guilty Mom Overload

I'm ashamed to admit this...but I do not have any professional photos of Lenore.

Not one.

It's strange, but with the first child, (Alex) Jon and I made certain to take him into the studio for professional photos every few months.

With Raven, we didn't make it in as much (her extended trips to the hospital were a constant obstacle), but we got them once a year.

For Lenore, I had exactly one photo shoot when she was nine moths old. ONE. I had them taken with a friend of mine a couple of weeks before we left for Hawaii.

More accurately, my friend has a daughter the same age as Lenore and we had photos taken together. We were scheduled to leave before the pictures would be ready for pick-up, so my friend was supposed to mail my half of the pictures but she never did, despite my requests.

As far as I know, they are still sitting on her desk. I decided to let it go and stop asking. Ah well. :)

Anyway, for some reason that was the last time I had set foot in a studio. There is no great reason.

Shame on me.

Today I have just decided to randomly snap shots of her while she watched her sister play ball.

There were several distractions from the ball game.

A helicopter flew overhead, something made her sad (I have no idea what), and a lizard ran past her feet at one point.

I know I can never make up for the lack of professional photos. But I hope to do my best to capture her moments as they happen. As her mom, it's the least I can do.

We're planning on getting some professional photos for her fifth birthday. I know she'll love it.

Happy Monday

I am in the same boat Denise, with all of the doctor visits and surgeries our youngest only had 2 professional photos taken at 6 months and age 2.

That last one of Lenore is beautiful and looks professional to me, time for a fancy frame I think! :)

The most important thing is we love them.
